Split Test Your Way to Success: How to A/B Test for Website Optimization

ABT…. Always Be Testing!

If you don’t test, you will never know! Take the guessing game out of the equation of your website and landing pages and move forward with confidence. Are consumers engaging more with an infographic or a video? Test it. Are you speaking to your audience in the right tone? Test it. If you question it, you can test it.  With A/B testing platforms, testing is limitless.

What is A/B Testing?

A/B testing, also known as split testing, is a marketing experiment wherein you split your audience to test variations on a campaign and determine which performs better. In other words, you can show version A of a piece of marketing content to one half of your audience and version B to another.1

Why Test?

One size does not fit all. All audiences are not the same. What works for one company may not work for you. Do you have a goal for your site? Test what content, UX, or offer works best to meet your goal.

What Can You Test?

There is no limit to what you can test. UX, design, colors, copy, deadlines, copy tone, navigation, videos, visuals, photos, recipes, content placement, forms… I could go on!

Best Practices

While you can test anything and everything, it is important to take it slow. Test one thing at a time. If you test too many things at once, how will you know what to attribute the success to? Rome was not built in a day, so take time, create a plan, and learn from your initial test. Then test again! Repeat, repeat, repeat! Learn, Learn, learn!

How Can 270B Help?

We love to test and learn from tests to give our clients and customers the best experience possible.

Questioning anything? Let’s test together! Let’s learn together! Let’s do BIG together!
